Writing and Storytelling
Started in 2014
Abhishek has been writing short stories across all genres ranging from romance to horror to crime. With a published book titled By Hook or By Crook under his belt, he has also been sharing his love for Bollywood movies on his blog page Flixip since 2019. Abhishek has also been an active member of book clubs, writing communities, author groups, and literary events, always seeking to expand his knowledge and skills in the craft of writing.
Abhishek's started his journey in 2018 after he started working with Mahindra Comviva, where he was initially responsible for product marketing, but soon transitioned into product management. His love for building digital products to solve everyday problems has been driving him to be an active member of the product communities in India.

He has been working in digital payments space, and is experienced in all payment methods across open-loop, close-loop and semi-close loop payments. He currently works at Tata Digital in the payments team.

After completing his schooling from Macro Vision Academy, Abhishek joined IIT Delhi as a Chemical Engineering student. Abhishek co-authored two academic journals and was a key member of Chemical Engineering Society. His journey into story-writing started in his hostel room with a fictional story based on his hostel friends.

Abhishek also completed his MBA from ISB Hyderabad, majoring in Marketing and Finance. He was part of the Dean's List and Merit List at ISB, and was a prominent member of Business Technology Club.
Abhishek's Writing Inspirations
Abhishek's writing process is focused on attention to detail, character development, and realistic storytelling. He believes that these elements are essential to creating engaging and compelling stories that keep readers on the edge of their seats. Abhishek loves writing stories about people you'd meet during your day, but won't know what's going on with them. Most of the characters, incidents and locations in Abhishek's stories are based on his real-life experiences, which compels him to keep exploring.
Abhishek draws heavy inspiration from the works of veteran writers like Aravinda Adiga, JD Salinger, Mario Puzo, and many others. He is also greatly inspired by the cinematic world, and the wonderful storytelling in the works of Sriram Raghavan, Martin Scorsese, and even Hrishikesh Mukherjee. He considers himself a forever student and seeks learning from the creative works of veteran as well as upcoming storytellers.
